Andrew and Katrina Haultain founded Cambridge Jewellers on principles of excellent service, friendliness, community spirit and “a never say can’t attitude!” They are proud to operate a family owned business that strives to be solution orientated and provide sound product knowledge and quality service that keeps their customers coming back. Custom diamond jewellery is their passion.

Both Katrina and Andrew are manufacturing jewellers and hold Diplomas in Diamond Technology.

Cambridge Jewellers is proud to have been selected as New Zealand Nationwide Jeweller of the Year for 2015.

Andrew and Katrina are certified Antwerp Diamond Brokers, making regular diamond buying trips to Antwerp, Belgium, the diamond capital of the world where 80% of the world’s diamonds are traded.

This allows them to act as their customer’s “personal broker” and buy diamonds with significant savings on retail prices. Customers can be assured the diamonds are conflict free, excellent value and quality. Because of the enormous choice of top-quality diamonds available in Antwerp, Cambridge Jewellers deal directly with Antwerp’s leading diamond cutters and save their customers the hefty importer and distributor costs. The perfect diamond can be selected in the exact size, shape, quality, and at a price that suits the customer.

The design experience

Ultimately fine jewellery is about providing customers choice and quality that can be trusted. Cambridge Jewellers has an on-site workshop, where they design and make a significant proportion of the jewellery sold. Customers may commission a bespoke piece of jewellery and staff are able to offer suggestions and ideas on style and suitability. Custom diamond jewellery pieces such engagement and wedding rings are particularly popular. Cambridge Jewellers have years of design experience coupled with a significant design library to assist in the creation of a jewellery masterpiece that is unique to each customer.
